Coronavirus Disease Covid-19

Information on Appointments and Covid-19:

As we all closely watch the Covid-19 situation, we would like to reassure our clients that Federal Accountants is doing all we can to meet any 2019 income tax deadlines and still keep both our clientele and staff as safe as possible. Please bear in mind, as a public office during our peak season, we see many people come through our office daily. Our office has not been affected by the virus, as of now, but we feel we must take precautions that would benefit all.

Currently, we are still conducting in person appointments. However, to decrease the chance of exposure to the virus, we would like to encourage as many clients as possible to handle the appointment via telephone. We recommend submitting documentation through fax, mail or our tax document portal or as a last measure, by dropping off at the front desk. Documents, including tax returns, can be sent to you in the same method. We suggest our portal system to all, as it is very convenient for most clients.

Another avenue for clients who know they do not have a payment due to the Federal or State government, is the filing of an extension of 6 months. This is an extension of the form only. Any payments due would not be extended and are still due by 04/15/2020.

For our bookkeeping and payroll clients, please contact your bookkeeper directly at Nicole@federalaccountants.com or Tina@federalaccountants.com to setup portal access. Please be aware that the situation may cause a lag in bookkeeping turnaround times.

At this moment, the situation is very fluid and we will continue to monitor closely what Federal and Local authorities advise. Thank you for your understanding and patience at such an uncertain time. We hope all continue to be safe and healthy.

Thank you,

Nicole A. Pisapia
